Street Safety hosts resources for protesters.
Jail support demonstrates that we can and will take care of each other even in the face of repression.
If we fail at it people feel isolated and abandoned. That's how we lose people.
What is jail support?
- taking calls from arrestees
- relaying info to family, friends, maybe lawyers
- tracking arrestees thru detention, release, court
- bailing, fundraising
- providing help and comfort when released
- ongoing help through court process
There is no need for legal training to do jail support.
